Pasta e Fagioli

I couldn't decide what to make for dinner. I found a bag of Great Northern Beans in the cabinet, and had some chicken stock in the fridge. Turns out that I actually had everything in the kitchen to make Pasta e Fagioli.
Generally I will eat anything thatGiada de Laurentis makes and her Pasta e Fagioli is no exception.
Of course, what would it be if I didn't deconstruct it and make it with what I have? I used Great Northern Beans instead of Kidney beans. I also used Whole Wheat Rotini instead of Elbows. It's still delicious! The real test is whether or not my husband and children will eat it, and I consider this a successful experiment since both ate it and actually enjoyed it.

Demolition Kitchen is...destroyed?

I thought about making a food blog for a long time, but never really got around to it until now. So what’s the story behind Demolition Kitchen? My love of food, and my love of breaking the rules. So this is where I can post all of my kitchen experiments and insane ideas, my successes and my failures. Not to mention my kitchen usually looks like a demolition zone after I am finished due to my two little helpers, C & J. Enjoy the ride as we destroy the kitchen on a daily somewhat daily basis.
